G’day from Perth! After getting the *slightly* rocky boat from Lombok back to Bali, we took a direct flight to Perth which was around 3hrs and 30m.

It was odd arriving in Australia and not feeling very tired and jet lagged!
The weather was also significantly cooler than in Indonesia – Perth was around 15° most days with a little bit of rain but mostly blue skies!
First accommodation stop was Hostel G near the city centre. It’s a great hostel with a good social scene. It also had some good facilities so we were able to catch up on laundry from Indonesia!

It was nice now being in Australia as we were able to go out and eat and drink whatever we wanted without thinking we might get dreaded Bali belly!

We did lots around the city, first Elizabeth Quay, on the Swan River.

In Elizabeth Quay there are lots of galleries and bars and restaurants along the promenade.
We also spent some time in Kings Park which is the largest inner-city park in the world. From the park there are amazing panoramic views of Perth and the Swan River.

The park also has a treetop walk passing through gardens and along the edge of the park.

Perth had a good atmosphere for going out and the city was easy to get around with good public transport and free busses.

We went to a comedy night in one of the evenings in the city which was fun.

Perth was overall a really nice city and we enjoyed the short amount of time we spent there!
